Packing up my American dream
Ontario, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois
Outside the fast moving Grey Hound
Endless corn fields swallowing my eyes
Across Iowa River sites the university town

The following day after getting my driver license
Stopped by a cop asking if need help
Cannot start the engine without warming up
So cold the Mid-West winter
So warm the rural heart
