search but not REsearch     Editor-in-Chief

Anyway talking about search and research, I recalled one night at a dinner table at a Pisa restaurant, one of my former advisors told my officemates and me, that he was puzzled by the rapid progress at various research areas of computer science and electrical engineering, it was hard for a single people to track, let alone to contribute. I had no idea on that at that time, a few years later I got a clue: in any discipline, whether science or engineering, there are some fundamentals in governing how it is evolving, whether incremental (in most cases) or radical. There is no silver bullet for sure, and what we can do is to pursue one step at a time, consistently, persistently, and patiently, no more and no less. We are aggressively keeping on searching on new frontiers, business-wise as well as technically in this way indeed.

So we are more on the search side, as opposed to the research side. Talking about outsourcing, one of areas we specialize is Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Any business once online, it is crucial to have top rank in leading search engines, such as google and Yahoo!. For example, if you search ¡°System Design Frontier¡± in google, it shows this journal¡¯s web page with No. 1 ranking, and it does not cost us a penny. Indeed many companies now are serous about online marketing to augment their off-line marketing efforts. Generally there are two ways on conducting online marketing, namely push based approach such as permission-based email campaign, and push based approach such as SEO and Pay Per Click (PPC). Comparing to PPC, SEO is totally free, so you won¡¯t have trouble on falling asleep at night while your ad copies are clicked with money being spent yet without sales leads being generated. Our home-brew SEO solution is quite unique, we perform SEO only after Search Engine Assessment (SEA), and it works extremely well in every case we handled so far. In case you need our help on SEO, please do not hesitate to contact us for a quote, and please note SEO is only one of many Hometown Outsourcing services we are offering currently: search but not Research.
